This 90 min one day workshop will be an overview of the 10 items on the CGC test. You will teach/practice the skills listed below:

• Accepting a friendly stranger
• Sitting politely for petting
• Allows instructor to comb or lightly brush the dog, includes ear and foot exam (attendees should provide comb or brush of their choosing)
• Walking nicely on a loose leash.  includes right and left turn, about turn and stop
• Walking through a group of people
• Sit and down on command, includes handler walking 20 ft away while the dog stays in position
• Come when called from 10 feet away
• Demonstrate ability to calmly pass another dog
• Demonstrate a reasonable recovery from a distraction such as an item  being dropped
• Supervised Separation, meaning the dog calmly accepts the handler going out of site for 3 min while being held on a 6′ leash by the evaluator.
